Privacy Policy
Effective Date: January 15, 2025 | Last Updated: February 3, 2025
At Cognitive Prudence, we believe transparency matters. When you're learning to manage emotions in trading, you're sharing personal insights with us. That deserves respect.
This policy explains what information we collect, why we need it, and how we protect it. We operate in Thailand and follow applicable local regulations, including the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) B.E. 2562.
If privacy laws feel confusing, you're not alone. We've written this in plain language because legalese helps nobody.
Information We Collect
Information You Give Us Directly
When you register for webinars, download study materials, or contact us, you share information voluntarily. Here's what we typically collect:
Contact Details
Name, email address, phone number when you fill out forms or reach out to us directly.
Professional Background
Trading experience level, areas of interest, and goals you share to help us personalize content.
Communication Records
Messages you send through our contact forms, email correspondence, and webinar questions.
Learning Progress
Course completion status, material downloads, and webinar attendance when you participate in our programs.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, we collect technical information when you visit. Nothing intrusive, just standard web analytics:
- Browser type and version, operating system, device information
- IP address and approximate geographic location (city level, not exact coordinates)
- Pages visited, time spent on site, links clicked
- Referral source (how you found us, whether through search or another website)
- Session recordings for usability improvements (fully anonymized)
Important note: We don't track your trading activity, portfolio performance, or financial transactions. That's your business, not ours.
How We Use Your Information
We're not in the business of hoarding data. Everything we collect serves a specific purpose:
| Purpose | What This Means |
|---|---|
| Service Delivery | Sending webinar links, study materials, and course access credentials you've requested |
| Communication | Responding to your questions and providing support when you need help |
| Content Improvement | Understanding which topics resonate so we can create better educational materials |
| Technical Optimization | Fixing bugs, improving page load times, and ensuring the site works on your device |
| Legal Compliance | Meeting obligations under Thai law and maintaining necessary records |
We might send occasional emails about new webinars or study materials. But we're selective. If something isn't genuinely useful for emotion management in trading, we won't bother you with it.
Data Storage and Security
Where Your Data Lives
Our primary servers are located in Thailand, with backup systems in Singapore. We chose providers who meet international security standards and comply with Thai data protection requirements.
How We Protect It
Security isn't just a checkbox for us. Here's what we do:
- All data transmission uses encryption (TLS 1.3 standard)
- Password storage with industry-standard hashing algorithms
- Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
- Limited employee access on a need-to-know basis only
- Automated backup systems with encrypted storage
- Intrusion detection and monitoring systems active 24/7
No system is completely bulletproof. If we ever experience a data breach affecting your information, we'll notify you within 72 hours as required by Thai PDPA regulations.
How Long We Keep Your Data
We don't keep information longer than necessary. Here are our retention periods:
- Active accounts: As long as you're engaged with our services
- Inactive accounts: 24 months after last activity, then automatic deletion
- Email communications: 36 months for reference purposes
- Financial records: 7 years (Thai tax law requirement)
- Technical logs: 90 days maximum
Sharing Your Information
We don't sell your data. Period. But we do share information in limited circumstances:
Service Providers
We work with third-party companies who help run our operations. Think email delivery services, web hosting providers, and payment processors. These partners only access information necessary to perform their specific functions, and they're contractually obligated to protect your data.
Legal Requirements
If Thai authorities present a valid legal request, or if we need to protect our rights in legal proceedings, we may disclose information. We'll notify you when legally permitted to do so.
Business Transfers
If Cognitive Prudence is acquired or merged with another company, your information might transfer to the new entity. You'd receive notice and have the option to delete your account before any transfer occurs.
Analytics and cookies: We use standard web analytics tools. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not work properly.
Your Rights Under Thai Law

To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@cognitive-prudence.com with your request. We'll verify your identity and respond within the timeframes required by Thai law.
International Data Transfers
Most of our operations happen within Thailand. But some service providers operate internationally, which means your data might occasionally cross borders.
When this happens, we ensure adequate protection through:
- Standard contractual clauses approved by Thai authorities
- Verification that recipient countries have adequate data protection laws
- Additional security measures when transferring sensitive information
- Regular audits of international partners' compliance practices
You can request specific details about where your data is stored by contacting us.
Children's Privacy
Our services target adult traders and investors. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years old.
If you're a parent and discover your child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately. We'll delete it from our systems within 48 hours.
Changes to This Policy
Privacy regulations evolve. Our practices might change. When we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a revised date at the top.
For significant changes affecting how we handle your data, we'll send direct email notification at least 30 days before the new policy takes effect. This gives you time to review changes and decide whether to continue using our services.
We maintain an archive of previous policy versions. If you want to review past terms, send us a request.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies. Most websites do. But we try to keep it reasonable:
Essential Cookies
These make the website function. Login status, language preferences, session management. You can't disable these without breaking core functionality.

Preference Cookies
Remember your choices like content preferences or notification settings. These enhance your experience but aren't required.
